Why We Created Pony

Pony started with a simple realization: Once you go Bidet, you never go Bidout.


We started using a bidet because we wanted a better way to get clean. But we didn't realize how much we'd come to appreciate it until we went on vacation and had to go back to using toilet paper alone.

Honestly, it felt primitive.

And it wasn't just me. My wife and son had gotten used to having a bidet at home too. After experiencing the difference, going without one made us realize just how much better a simple rinse can feel.

That's when the idea for Pony started.

We weren't looking to replace toilet paper. And while we care about using less paper and being better to the environment, that wasn't the reason we created Pony.

We created Pony to bring more awareness to bidets and make the experience simple and accessible to more people.

A better way to get clean shouldn't require a bathroom remodel, complicated technology, or a big commitment.

It should be simple.

Why Pony?

The name Pony has a little history behind it.


“Bidet” is a French word that originally referred to a now-extinct small horse.
The bidet itself also originated in France, making Pony a simple nod to both the word and its French origins.

We liked the idea of taking something that can feel unfamiliar and making it feel simple, approachable, and easy to understand.

A better way to get clean shouldn't be complicated.
